Camryn's medical billing tasks include maintaining records of current billing and coverage guidelines, reviewing encounter forms for accuracy in ICD-9 and CPT coding, communicate with doctors and nurses to obtain missing information or documentation necessary for payment, posting charges and payments to accounts, research on rejected or low paid claims and resubmitted corrected claims within the time limit specified by each insurance company, make follow up calls to insurance companies to resolve any discrepancy in payments and to patients whose accounts were past due to establish a payment plan, provide customer support by interpreting and explaining insurance EOBs, copays, co-insurance and deductibles to patients and enter as well as update patient demographics.
