The use of tracking codes for performance measurement will decrease the need for record abstraction and chart review, and thereby minimize administrative burdens on physicians, their staff, and other health care professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These codes are intended to facilitate data collection about quality of care by coding certain services and\/or test results that support performance measures and that have been agreed upon as contributing to good patient care.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalbillersandcoders.com\/medical-coding-services.aspx\">Medical coders<\/a> and providers should take a note of this update as there are many revisions, significant new codes and deleted codes based on previous updates that AMA has released this year.
