There are stringent <a title=\"Medical Billing Guideline\" href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalbillersandcoders.com\/specialty-guideline.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">medical Billing guidelines<\/a> in place for the entire gamut of coding practices which include issues such as the privacy of patient healthcare data, accuracy, and regulation compliances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This series of tutorials will help medical coders get comprehensive information about the standards of ethical <a title=\"Medical Coding\" href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalbillersandcoders.com\/Medical_Coding.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">medical coding<\/a> norms and assist them in making ethically decisions in the workplace; these parameters can help evaluate the coding professionals\u2019 commitment to integrity during the coding process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Following are the set of guidelines recognized by AHIMA for ethical medical coding:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> Accuracy and Consistency: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Coding professionals and managers shall apply accurate, complete, and consistent coding practices for the production of quality healthcare data.
