This has taken the billing charges for ASC\u2019s<\/a> on a higher side, owing to the number of procedures for various specialties catered to. Based on a recent Industry overview, it has been reported that, Ophthalmology makes up the largest percentage of procedures performed in ambulatory surgery centers.<\/p>\n

Ophthalmology, GI & Pain management are all thought of as high volume but low reimbursements and remain a stalwart for ASCs for several reasons. Orthopedics<\/i>\u00a0is affected more by commercial reimbursement, and in ASCs yields a sizable volume and the highest average reimbursement.<\/p>\n
